Chris and Judy

I’ve known Chris for 12 years. When he and Judy asked me to do their engagement shoot, I was totally stoked and had several ideas in mind. The shoot took place in Atlanta, GA where Chris proposed to Judy. We went to Stone Mountain, Little Five Points, the Botanical Garden, and finally ended up in the middle of Piedmont Park. Stone Mountain was probably the most tasking location. We had to drag 20 pounds of camera gear (my dumb idea) 1.3 miles up the mountain and fortunately I got the shots that I wanted. After we tackled Stone Mtn., the rest of the weekend was easy going. My only gripe is that we didn’t stay in Atlanta long enough.

Chris and Judy- Again, thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture these first stages of your life together.

Christine, my partner in crime - Thank you sooo much for carrying 19 pounds of that gear in the blazing heat 1.3 miles up Stone Mountain… I owe you big time.

Mike and AnneAnne- You guys are awesome hosts and thank you for showing us around your beautiful city!

On with the pictures!!!

Kidd’s being kids

…One girl and two boys. Growing up, my brother bullied me around while my sister locked herself in her bedroom listening to Tommy Paige (I swear that man whispered on every track) and Debbie Gibson. Go figure! At that age, three was a crowd but looking back now… it’s just right!

Taking pictures of the Kidd’s brought me back to my childhood, all the good memories and others like the ones described above. Nolan (6), Telisa (5), and Ethan (4) are very energetic, as children their age should be. But these three fed off each other’s energy and had us running around the park. It felt like my cardio day at the gym. The plus side was taking pictures of them in their natural element. It’s very easy when your subjects are always smiling and ready for the camera. They were all naturally photogenic.

Big thanks to Tinee, Ivy and Tessa
