Harley Round Up

This is my personal collection of Harley's... Syke, I wish!!!

Before the Pacquiao fight Saturday, I decided to take some photos of the Harley collection in my pop's garage: Two fatboys, a Custom XLS and a wide tire converted Night Train. The owners are Uncle Jessie, Pops, sister Ivy and Lee. One day my dream bike will be with this bunch. One day.

This was my first time playing with a flash that was not connected to the camera body itself. I hope they look okay.

anyways. enjoy the pics!

Lauren and Mike's Wedding

Last weekend I had the honor of being a second shooter for a wedding with Brian Adams. Lauren and Mike’s wedding was at a beautiful beach house in St. Augustine. When we arrived it was raining and did not show any signs of letting up. By the time the wedding started, the rain ceased and provided great lighting for the rest of the evening. Shooting a couple that shows their love naturally is very easy to capture. All it took for Mike to smile was Lauren’s presence and when they were close you could feel the seclusion between them and their surrounding.

Brian was an awesome mentor and he taught me things I could not have learned just from reading the books I’ve read.

Congrats and best wishes to the happy couple... Brian, for the hundredth time, THANK YOU for the learning experience!

Our first collaboration

This piece is a Father’s Day gift for a wonderful father in my life. Two months ago, during a ride home from work, Mike talked excitedly about a great song he heard by Kelis, called Lil’ Star. He said he almost cried listening to the song because it made him think of all the obstacles his daughter, Sydney will encounter in life. After listening to the song, I fell in love with it. It is the best message a father can give to his daughter; no matter what you encounter in life…just keep trying. It immediately made me think of my Dad, who has been my biggest fan growing up. I may be in my 30’s, but I’ll never be too old to be daddy’s girl.

I asked both of my brothers to help me put together a gift for Mike for Father’s Day. He always says how Sydney is growing up so fast, so I wanted to capture a small piece of this wonderful little sunshine name Sydney!! God has blessed me with two very talented brothers, who worked so hard to make this gift happen. They have created such an amazing piece.

Early April, I asked Mike if I can take Sydney to the park for a couple of hours early one Saturday morning. My brothers Eric, Aries and nephew Angel met us at the playground. My brothers went right to work doing what they both do best. Even my nephew Angel was put to work…in fact he worked so hard in the scorching heat, that he fell asleep on a park bench near the end of the shoot.

Thank you Aries and Eric for all you’ve done to make this happen. Not only did you both spend hours at the playground capturing images of Sydney, but afterwards spent countless number of hours touching up the images and putting the video together. You guys do amazing work and it shows in this video. Angel, great job in keeping the video a secret buddy!! To all the wonderful father’s in my life…Happy Father’s Day!!!

Shen'ea and Ben's Wedding

Last weekend I was given the opportunity to capture a close friend's wedding. I was both honored and nervous because Ben and Shen'ea trusted me to capture their special day... special in more ways than one. This was my first wedding and encountered many obstacles to obtain the right exposure.

The ceremony was short and sweet. Afterwards, we headed indoors for the reception. The food was great, the company was loving, and everyone danced. Seriously. I have never been to a wedding where no one was too shy to dance. Even I managed to bend a knee or two!

Shen'ea and Ben, congratulations and many thanks for making my first wedding a memorable one.

Downtown stroll

Two weekends ago, Christine joined Drigo and I to an evening stroll around downtown. We were armed with 3 canons and several pieces of glass. I tested my latest toy while Tinee played with the 30. I was pretty surprised with the shots she had taken (I should probably take the camera away from her, she might outshine me...j/k(not really)). The following post is a compilation of pictures she and I took that evening. Enjoy!

Anna & Gabe TTD Teaser

Finally I got a chance to shoot another TRASH THE DRESS. I got to tell you, I absolutely love these types of projects! It gives me a chance to get out of my shell and freely be creative. These are my playing grounds. Another great Collaboration with Cory Callahan.

Children's Academy at Loch Haven

Congratulations to the amazing kids from The Children's Academy at Loch Haven. Among them is a little girl who continues to inspire me everyday. Good Job "lady bug".. Daddy is proud of you.

The songs I chose for this piece are of great importance to me. When I created this for the school I couldn't help but think about how God has truly blessed me with 2 wonderful children and that I am so lucky to be a father. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Good luck to all of the kids in Loch Haven and to the teachers, God Bless You for all that you do.

Special Tuning's big brother...

... is headed over seas for 6 months and another came back state side from Japan. Jon is leaving for Iraq while Werk (Steve) left Japan to come back home after 3 years. The best way to celebrate an arrival and a departure was a good old fashion BBQ with good food, great friends and sexy cars. Ending the night with a free MMA fight hosted by CBS didn't hurt either.
